Walt Disney first had the idea over fourty years ago to open a new park based on the movies. The Walt Disney company finally opened Disney MGM Studios in May 1989. Here visitors can witness the workings of movie sets and all the facilities that create a television production. The studios have  nearly doubled in size during the past 10 years.

Giant Sorcerer Hat

The Magic Kingdon celebrated its 100th Year in October 2001 with MGM Studios being the focal point for the magical celebration. MGM instroduced a new MGM Studios Icon being the giant Sorcerer Mickey Hat together with the attraction One Mans Dream. 

You enter the MGM Studios through the turnstiles and arrive in the main street which is Hollywood Boulevard.
